Have you been flooded where you work or live? Do you have information on flood heights?

Wollongong City Council is doing a flood study for the catchment area that flows into Kully Bay, on the shores of Lake Illawarra. This area includes the Warrawong CBD and surrounding residential areas.

We are also doing a flood study for the Minnegang Creek catchment which goes across parts of Lake Heights and Warrawong.

The flood studies are done to gather information about flood heights and behaviour to assist with managing flood risk to people, property and infrastructure.

If you have flood information you can help us by:

  • Filling in the survey form below
  • Emailing engagement@wollongong.nsw.gov.au
  • Uploading any photos or mailing them to us: Wollongong City Council (Attention: Flood Engineers), Locked Bag WOLLONGONG DC NSW 2500

  • Minnegang Flood Survey

    The purpose of the Flood Study is to update assessments completed in 2002 on the nature of flooding in the catchment to help Council better understand, plan and manage the potential flood risk. We may contact you to discuss some of the information that you provide.
