This reserve includes the foreshore down to Swan Street to the south and up to parts of Endeavor Drive in the North.

Key Considerations for the Reserve
Lang Park is part of the Blue Mile. Significant community events such as Australia Day and New Year’s Eve celebrations are held in this reserve. This large reserve includes heritage listed stone picnic shelters built by Charles Prior, a local stonemason who also built the stone picnic shelters in Stuart Park. There are also heritage listed Norfolk Island Pines.

Also within the reserve are:

  • City Beach (or South beach if you are a long time resident) and the foreshore past the Wollongong Entertainment Centre along the golf course down to Swan Street, Wollongong. As a patrolled beach there are beach access points and a lifeguard tower
  • outdoor beach showers, dune fencing, park furniture
  • outdoor exercise equipment
  • public toilet facilities
  • playground
  • the Illawarra Olympic Tribute
  • part of a golf course
  • cycleway
