We've been working on a trial project with local young bike riders to co-design and build a small, new bike track in Harry Graham Park, Figtree.

Our community have told us it’s important that we provide more cycling facilities for families and young people to enjoy. You have also told us that protecting the environment is important. We know there are concerns about the environmental damage caused by the bike trail and jumps built along the creek in Roy Johanson Park, such as erosion and damage to trees and habitats.

This trial project aims to relocate this activity to an under-used and more appropriate nearby area, in Harry Graham Park, so that young people can continue to enjoy this activity safely and in a way that doesn’t damage this beautiful, natural area. The track is made of clean soil and Council staff will support bike riders in the area to monitor and maintain the track.

Got questions?
If you've got any questions about the project, you can ask us a question in the Q&A, email engagement@wollongong.nsw.gov.au or phone Jen from the Engagement team on (02) 4227 7111.
