Share your thoughts on proposed changes around Austinmer Train Station

Kirton Road is an important pedestrian route as it provides the only connection across the railway line at Austinmer Station. People also travel west along Moore Street towards the train station. 

Additionally, pedestrians accessing Austinmer station from the north must cross at Railway Avenue. The existing footpath channels pedestrians through the Railway Ave / Balfour Rd intersection to reach the station. 

We are proposing

Improvements to crossing safety with the installation of one raised pedestrian priority crossing at each of the following locations:

• Moore Street close to Kirton Road
• Railway Ave Close to Balfour Road

Supporting lighting, pathing and line marking to accompany the changes.
