Consultation has concluded

As part of Council’s commitment to improving road safety and transport connectivity, we are proposing to install a footpath near Railway Crescent to Stanwell Park Train Station.  

Why are we doing this project?  

This project is part of Transport for NSWs Transport Integration and Placemaking program to improve access around selected train stations across our city. These improvements are aimed to make your journey to catch the train a safer one.  

What is being proposed?  

The draft concept design includes a small section of new footpath on Railway Crescent linking the existing footpath to the entrance of Stanwell Park Train Station.

Where is this project up to?

We began consultation with the community from August - September 2024 to welcome feedback on our proposed changes to Stanwell Park Train Station. This consultation has now concluded. 

Our Transport Team is now working through all that was heard throughout this project. You can still view the draft concept designs for this project and see what we have planned:

Next steps 

We will use your feedback and local knowledge to finalise a detailed design. We will let the community know about the final design plan before we start construction.

Construction is planned for 2025/2026 financial year as listed in our Infrastructure Delivery Program.

  • Share your thoughts on the proposed changes to Railway Crescent, Stanwell Park

    The existing footpath on Railway Crescent ends approximately 20 metres from the station. The proposed footpath will fill the missing link and improve pedestrian access to and from the Station. 

    We are proposing

    • Install additional concrete footpath and supporting kerb ramp

    The proposed footpath will fill this missing link and improve pedestrian access to and from Stanwell Park Station
