Draft Planning Agreement: Corrimal Coke Works
Consultation has concluded
At its meeting of 27 June 2022, Council resolved to exhibit the draft Corrimal Coke Works Planning Agreement to enable community comment.
What is the draft Corrimal Coke Works Planning Agreement?
The Draft Corrimal Coke Works Planning Agreement is in association with PP-2017/6 which sought approval for the rezoning of the land from IN3 Heavy Industrial and RE2 Private Recreation zoned land to RE1 Public Recreation, R3 Medium Density Residential and SP2 Infrastructure.
LegPro 70 Pty Ltd as trustee for LegPro 70 Unit Trust and Illawarra Coke Company Pty Ltd have requested that Wollongong City Council enter into a Planning Agreement under which the developer will provide community infrastructure items within and adjoining the site.
Following exhibition and consideration of any submissions, the Draft Corrimal Coke Works Planning Agreement will be reported back to a Council meeting to consider any issues raised in the public exhibition prior to it being finalised and executed.
The draft Corrimal Coke Works Planning Agreement will be on public exhibition for a minimum period of 28 days. It can be viewed at:
- Wollongong, Corrimal and Thirroul branch libraries during opening hours;
- Council Administration Building 41 Burelli Street Wollongong between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
