What is a Cultural Plan?

    A Cultural Plan is a document that provides a strategic direction to guide Council to support, deliver and enhance arts, heritage and culture in Wollongong. 

    Why have a Cultural Plan?

    Arts, heritage and culture play an important role in our city, bringing people together, celebrating our identity, encouraging learning, providing new opportunities for employment.  It is important to have a Cultural Plan that responds to the needs of our community. 

    How is Council collecting information?

    Council will run a survey and targeted workshops to collect information from the community. 

    What will Council do with the information collected from the community?

    The information gathered from the community will be used to set the priorities and actions for the Cultural Plan. 

    How can I have my say?

    A survey will be open from 26 March-27 April and can be accessed:

    • By visiting Council’s website

    • By visiting a Council Library to get a hardcopy of the survey to post

    • By calling (02) 4227 7111 and asking for a survey to be posted to your address
