Consultation has concluded

Council at its meeting of 13 October 2014 resolved to exhibit the draft Chapter D18: Brickyard Point – Headlands Hotel, Austinmer Exhibition of Wollongong Development Control Plan 2009 for a minimum period of 28 days.

The draft Chapter D18: Brickyard Point – Headlands Hotel, Austinmer provides guidance for future development at the former Headlands Hotel site and has been developed in line with the endorsed Brickyard Point Headlands Hotel, Austinmer Vision. The draft chapter ensures that important urban design principles will be employed on the site in order to protect the environmental, visual, social and cultural importance of the site.

The draft Chapter D18: Brickyard Point – Headlands Hotel, Austinmer is available for public comment between 3 November 2014 and 12 December 2014.

The Council Minutes, Report and draft Chapter can be viewed at:

  • Libraries at Wollongong, Dapto, Warrawong, Corrimal, Thirroul, Helensburgh and Unanderra during library hours.
  • Council Administration Building 41 Burelli Street Wollongong between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
