Draft Planning Proposal Policy
Consultation has concluded
Our Planning Proposal Policy has had some minor updates. We are asking the community for their comments on the changes.
What the Policy is for
The processing of Planning Proposals (including reclassification of Council land) resulting in the preparation of local environmental plans is a core business activity for Council. On 7 May 2018, Council adopted a Planning Proposal Policy to guide the preparation and submission of Planning Proposal requests.
Why we need to update it
Since the adoption of this Policy, there have been a number of procedural changes introduced in the processing of Planning Proposals, including updated guidelines(External link) published by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. This has required minor updates to Council’s Planning Proposal Policy.
Council resolved(External link) on 21 February 2022 to place on public exhibition a draft updated Planning Proposal Policy.
