Draft Planning Proposal Policy 2024
Consultation has concluded

Council's Planning Proposal Policy has had some minor updates. We’re now seeking your feedback on the proposed changes.
What the Policy is for
The processing of planning proposals (including reclassification of Council land) resulting in the preparation of local environmental plans is a core business activity for Council. On 7 May 2018, Council adopted a Planning Proposal Policy to guide the preparation and submission of planning proposal requests.
Why do we need to update it?
At the time of adoption, it was envisaged that the Planning Proposal Policy would need to be updated periodically to reflect the outcome of studies and policy and strategy development. The key updates recommended in this review relate to the release of updated Guidelines published by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure and adoption of recent Council strategic documents (see important links section).
Council resolved on 27 May 2024 to place on public exhibition a draft updated policy.
The Draft Planning Proposal Policy 2024 is on exhibition from Monday 24 June to Monday 29 July 2024 and can be viewed:
