Consultation has concluded
Wollongong City Council has completed a draft Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Wollongong City. The study aims to develop flood mitigation options and planning controls for future development within flood prone areas.
This study and plan has been developed to better understand and manage the flood risks within this catchment. The study and plan describes the current flood behaviour in the catchment and also the preferred management actions to reduce the flood risk. The preferred management actions have been identified and recommended for implementation in the draft Plan.
The draft Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan report are on exhibition from Monday 11 May 2015 to Friday 5 June 2015.

Public information sessions will be held at Wollongong City Council, Level 10 Committee Rooms 2 and 3 on Thursday 21 May 2015 and Thursday 28 May 2015, between 5pm and 7pm.
The community is invited to provide comment on the draft Floodplain Risk Management Plan using the form on this page.
