    Gorrell Street ‘Park’ Closing the Loop Summary

    Thank you to everyone who participated in the Gorrell Street ‘Park’ engagement.

    We invited the community to share their thoughts about Gorrell Street ‘Park’ in Cringila. Corflute signs and posters promoted the engagement and included Arabic and Macedonia translations.

    We asked what people thoughts were on the ‘park’ and if there are any changes they’d like to see, in or around the space. The feedback provided by the community has given Council an understanding of what the community would like to see in the Gorrell Street ‘Park’, Cringila.

    Engagement Participation Numbers

    Between 23 September and 24 October 2025, we had:

    162 visits to the website

    17 surveys and 2 email submissions

    35 people attended face to face activities

    Here is some of what we heard from the community:

    The community told us they value the green space. Groups from the Maltese Centre, Burmese, and Middle Eastern communities use it for events and gatherings.

    Community appreciates having green space saved from development.

    The community said the space needs to be comfortable for children, families, social groups, older residents and grandparents with grandchildren.

    The engagement has now closed. The feedback provided by the community has given Council an understanding of what the community would like to see in the Gorrell Street ‘Park’.
