Consultation has concluded
Council has commenced construction of a new power line from Parrish Avenue to Mt Keira Summit Park. These works form part of a project to establish a reliable power supply to Mt Keira Summit Park and the communication tower.
The next phase of the project requires works to be undertaken using a helicopter. The helicopter will be in use over two consecutive days. On 4 December, the helicopter will transport one of the power poles into position. On 5 December, it will be used to string the power lines between three poles. It is planned to undertake these works on 4 and 5 December between the hours of 8.00 am and 3.00 pm (approximately) subject to satisfactory weather conditions.
More information about the process can be found in the FAQ section of this page.
The use of the helicopter is reliant on the right weather conditions, so our plans may change. If this happens, we will provide updates on this page. If you would like to be sent detaisl of any changes please provide your details in the form below.
