Council has commissioned leading tourism and recreation consulting company, TRC Tourism, to work with the community to develop a vision for Mt Keira Summit Park.

The project aims to develop a shared vision for use of the Summit Park that reflects the aspirations of the community and recognises Mt Keira as a unique place of natural, cultural and social significance

The next stage will be the development of a draft master plan for the park and plan of management for the Mt Keira Summit Park.

Engagement with the community and stakeholders is fundamental to the development and implementation of the vision. Comments are invited on the draft vision until 31 May 2016.

    A draft vision for Mt Keira Summit Park has been prepared and we want to hear what you think. The draft Vision sets out a number of planning principles including quality visitor experiences, respect for the wishes of Aboriginal people, conservation of the natural and cultural values of the area. A copy of the draft Vision and a background report is available on this page under the Document Library Link. We have provided a feedback form for you to fill in online or you can email us or write to Council at Locked bag 8821, Wollongong NSW 2500. All submissions need to be received by Council by close of business 31 May 2016. Please read Council’s Privacy Notification before making your submission.
