Planning Proposal – West Dapto Minor Amendments - 2025-2026
We're now seeking community input to assist us in the determination of Planning Proposal amendments in the West Dapto Urban Release Area.
On the 28 July and 15 September 2025, Council resolved to amend Wollongong Local Environmental Plan 2009 for the West Dapto Release Area.
What is this planning proposal about?
The purpose of this Planning Proposal is to amend the Local Environmental Plan 2009 controls to be consistent with the structure plan and updated information. This includes:
- Amending Clause 4.1B – Lot Averaging Clause, within the Yallah-Marshall Mount precinct (West Dapto Urban Release Area Stage 5)
- Amending Natural Resources Sensitivity – Biodiversity mapping and Clause 7.2 Natural resource sensitivity - biodiversity
- Rezoning Road reserves in C2 Environmental Conservation to enable roads
- Amending Land Reservation Acquisition mapping
- Minor zone boundary adjustments, along with consequential amendments to the Floor Space Ratio, Minimum Lot Size and Height of Buildings Maps
