Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking feedback on revisions to Wollongong Development Control Plan (DCP) 2009 Chapter A1: Introduction.

On 28 October 2024 Council resolved to exhibit the draft DCP Chapter A1.

The purpose of this chapter is to provide guidance on various administrative provisions relating to the development application process including details on how to use the DCP, the variation request process, site and context analysis requirements, pre-lodgement details, the development assessment processes and lodgement requirements.

The review makes recommendations to align Chapter A1 with current legislation, environmental planning instruments and design practices. This has resulted in updates to the aims and objectives, site and context analysis, pre-lodgements details, development assessment processes and DA lodgement requirements.

The draft Wollongong DCP 2009 Chapter A1 is on exhibition from Monday 4 November 2024 to Monday 9 December 2024 and can be viewed:
