Consultation has concluded

Council’s Debt Recovery and Hardship Assistance Policy provides guidance about debt recovery functions and collections of debt.

Council's Finance Division has reviewed and revised this Policy as part of Council's regular timetable under the policy review program. Consideration has been given to how Council can best meet the needs of our customers while being able to fund the services of Council which are reliant on rates. The Policy also considers the Debt Management and Hardship Guidelines(External link) released by the Office of Local Government in September 2018.

Council resolved on 9 October 2023 to place this draft revised Policy on public online exhibition.
