Revised Privacy Management Plan 2024
Consultation has concluded
Council has had a Privacy Management Plan in place for more than 20 years in satisfaction of the requirements of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 NSW (PPIP Act). The Plan is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure it remains contemporary and to allow for regular updating to the methods of collection and storage of personal information by council as systems and practices modernise and automate.
The plan is currently due for review. Council resolved on 12 August 2024 to place on public online exhibition, a Draft Revised Privacy Management Plan.
Proposed changes:
Council last updated and adopted its Privacy Management Plan in 2021 and the Plan has been reviewed and updated to provide clarity and assurance to customers, residents and ratepayers on how, when and why council collects and stores personal information.
