What works will be undertaken?

    Guest Park, Fairy Meadow
    A number of new skate features will be constructed including a concrete vertical ramp, hob walls with metal edges, flat banks with hubba ledge and an additional kicker ramp. The existing park will also be repainted and repaired.

    Unanderra Skate Park
    A new wall will be constructed to create a complete skate bowl. Part of the floor will be replaced and a pimple and box with metal edge will also be installed. The existing park will also be repainted and repaired.

    When will the works commence?

    Construction works are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2016.

    How long will the works take?

    Works are anticipated to take 6 months, subject to weather.

    Will the parks be totally closed during works?

    We anticipate that the parks will be closed during construction. We will provide you with further details closer to the construction period. Site signage will be displayed at the park to inform park users of what’s happening.

    Will works start at Guest Park or Unanderra Skate Park first?

    The final schedule of works is still to be determined. Once confirmed, we will provide the community with updates on progress.

    What is happening with the Skate Park Strategy?

    A report will be going to Council later in the year.
