Let's Talk Skateparks!

Over the next two years, Wollongong City Council will be working on the delivery of four exciting projects related to skate parks.

About the projects

We want to deliver high quality skateparks that can serve our community now and into the future. An inclusive skatepark design is at the core of what we want for our community. We envision that people of all ages, genders and abilities feel welcomed, safe and considered.

We are looking to deliver two new skate facilities in Wollongong and Thirroul. We're working with CONVIC to design the new parks that deliver on what the community asks for.

We’re supporting the Port Kembla Chamber of Commerce and Industry as they work through plans for a local skate space in their suburb thanks NSW Government grant funding under the Port Kembla Community Investment Fund.

We also have committed $100k to mobile skate equipment to be rotated around the region.
