Wollongong DCP Draft Chapter E12: Geotechnical Assessment of Slope Instability

Council resolved on 15 March 2021 to exhibit the draft Chapter E12:Geotechnical Assessment of Slope Instability of the Wollongong Development Control Plan (WDCP) 2009.

This Chapter applies to certain lands in the Wollongong Local Government Area that are known or suspected to be subject to slope instability. It outlines Council’s specific requirements for geotechnical investigation and assessment of development proposed on such land.

Chapter E12 has been updated to reflect current standards and improve clarity for developers, consultants and Council staff.The draft chapter, if made, would amend the above-mentioned WDCP.

The draft Chapter will be on public exhibition for a minimum period of 28 days. It can be viewed at

• Council Administration Building 41 Burelli Street Wollongong between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
