Consultation has concluded
West Dapto is the region’s largest strategic urban release area. The West Dapto Vision guides the strategic direction of West Dapto and we are inviting you to have your say.
In 2008, a Structure Plan was developed to guide and inform the rezoning of the West Dapto Urban Release Area to allow for residential development. Using the knowledge accumulated over the past 10 years, Council has prepared a draft for the 2018 West Dapto Vision document, including an updated Planning Principles and Structure Plan.
Planning principles outline desired outcomes for an urban release area and support and explain the decision processes that informed the land uses.
A Structure Plan guides the future strategic direction of an urban release area and takes into account considerations such as town centres, buildings, open spaces, land uses, activities and transport.
The West Dapto Structure Plan, Vision and Planning Principles Report and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the seven principles are available for you to view at the right of this page.
If you would like to provide comment, please register and complete the survey form below.
There is opportunity to drop in and chat to Council's Urban Release team at the Dapto Ribbonwood Centre Thursday 9 August 2018, anytime between 6.30 and 8.30pm.
