Consultation has concluded
As part of Council’s commitment to improve access in our open space areas we have developed plans for upgrades at William Beach Park, Brownsville. The design includes upgrading the existing carpark, improving safety to the causeway and access road and relocating the William Beach memorial to a more centralised position.
Through the draft designs, there will be greater recognition of Aboriginal place, culture and significance. The draft design includes new paths to improve accessibility, bicycle parking, new signs, restoration of the existing sculpture and new seating.
We plan to green the area by planting trees, shrubs and grasses to provide shade and improve its natural appeal.
Construction is planned to be completed 21/22 financial year.
If you’re Deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment, you can contact us through the National Relay Service. You’ll need to provide our phone number 02 4227 7111.
If you need an interpreter you can contact us through the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131450. You’ll need to provide our phone number 02 4227 7111.
