Flash flooding clean-up works underway

Council's emergency response staff were deployed to several sites on Saturday morning, including Wongawilli, to support SES and NSW Police's response to flash flooding events. At Wongawilli Road they worked to divert flooding away from the roadway and from property.

Council maintenance staff are now working on-site to clean up the sediment and rock that was left behind by the flood water.

This week a second construction crew will be on-site. They'll support clean-up efforts and ongoing road works as well as undertake further preventative works to help reduce the impact of any further major storm events during construction works.
