Works Update 2 December 2020

With stormwater works finished along the south side of Wongawilli Road, between Smiths Lane and Jersey Farm Road, our crews are now busy installing kerb and gutter ready in time for Christmas. We’re working with residents to manage vehicle access to properties during these works. We’ll also undertake minor landscaping to tidy things up, between the newly installed concrete kerb to property boundaries on the south side of Wongawilli Road.

We’re also working to get a better outcome at the Smiths Lane and Wongawilli Road intersection. While road maintenance was planned for last week, we’re working with Sydney Water to obtain approvals to raise the pits at the same time. This will provide a better finish. We’ll notify affected residents via a letter box drop prior to works, which should be finished by Christmas. Works will be undertaken by a contractor on Council’s behalf.

Water main works near Shone Avenue remain on hold, awaiting Sydney Water repairs to the leaking main. Works will restart as soon as repairs are complete. We’ll keep you posted.

As Council shuts down between Christmas and New Year, our last day on site this year will be Wednesday 23 December 2020. Until then, we’ll be hard at work. We’ll be back on Monday 4 January 2021 to start stormwater crossing and connection works to the main trunk line.
