Works update 25 May 2021

Shone Avenue to Smiths Lane

Trunk Drainage: Cadifern are progressing well with the trunk drainage. While the rain on Sunday and Monday caused some delays, we're expecting work to get back on track tomorrow once the site has dried out. You may have seen yesterday's large delivery of pipes, which will soon be in the ground.

New layout of temporary road: Another council crew will be starting this week at the culverts near Shone Avenue. They'll be working to adjust the temporary road alignment on the northern side. The new layout will allow us to maintain two-way access into Wongawilli during construction of drainage crossings and finalising the culvert installation. This work will progress over the next couple of weeks. We'll let you know when the road will be switching over to the new layout.

Jersey Farm Road to Smith Lane

Our crews are progressing well with the construction of the shared path on the northern side of the road. They'll be finishing this up by the end of next week. We'll be coming back later to construct the retaining walls required for the shared path and will work with individual property owners on this. As soon as the shared path is complete, our crews will move across to reconstruct the pavement at Jersey Farm Road.
