Works Update 28 October 2020

28 Oct 2020

Our installation of the main stormwater drainage system including reinforced concrete pipes and pre cast concrete pits is well underway. However with wet weather set to continue this week, our crew may work off-site at times, as it’s never safe to dig or work in trenches when rain is on the way. We’ll continue with the stormwater installation when it’s safe. In the coming days residents will also see deliveries of road materials in preparation for upcoming road pavement works.

In addition to stormwater works, last week saw us install temporary school bus stops at Smiths Lane and Jersey Farm Road; finish line-marking the temporary secondary access lane near Shone Avenue; and complete night time inspection of Smiths Lane intersection to inform permanent improvement works.

Looking ahead to next week, we’ll have a second crew starting on site to fast track construction. The crews will work on completing the stormwater installation and widening the road pavement. This will lead into kerb and gutter installation and driveways for the southern side of Wongawilli Road.
