Works update 7 June 2021

Jersey Farm Road to Smiths Lane

Shared path construction between Jersey Farm Road and Smith Lane is mostly finished. We'll be working with several property owners to finalise frontage works.

Today we've started reconstruction of Jersey Farm Road. Resident access will be maintained under traffic control for the duration of the works. Letters were dropped last week along here to give everyone plenty of notice. With good weather, we're hoping to have this finished by the end of the week. We currently have asphalt booked for 16 June. We'll let you know if this changes.

Shone Avenue to Smiths Lane

Construction of the new temporary road is progressing. We've booked asphalt surfacing works for Wednesday 16 June. With good weather, we're planning for the road change-over on 21 June. We'll keep you updated on our progress and confirm the date closer to the time.

Trunk drainage: Works are progressing well and we'll be linking into new drainage line by the end of this week, weather permitting. Once we've completed the realignment of the temporary road, we'll then be able to move across to the culverts near Shone Avenue and link in the newly constructed drainage.

West Dapto Road Upgrade - Shone Avenue to Rainbird Drive

As part of Council's long-term vision for West Dapto to grow and develop into a series of integrated and connected communities, a plan has been prepared for the upgrade of West Dapto Road from Shone Avenue, Horsley to Rainbird Drive, Kembla Grange. Construction is planned to start later this year and take several years to complete. We’re now sharing the plan and explaining how we’ll manage potential works impacts to keep the community informed and to invite feedback. Visit our.wollongong.nsw.gov.au/west-dapto-road-upgrade for details and to provide feedback by Monday 12 July 2021.
