Consultation has concluded

Council has received an application to name a park in a new residential estate in Wongawilli, as shown in the location map.

In accordance with the requirements of Council’s Naming of Community Facilities and Parks Policy, Council is asking you to have your say on naming the new reserve ‘Bankbook Park’. If the proposal receives the unanimous support and endorsement of Council, an application to name the park will progress to the Geographical Names Board, who make the final decision on the proposal:

    Council submitted a naming application to the Geographical Names Board, who then advertised it for public comment for one month. At the conclusion of the advertising period, no submissions were received. In accordance with section 10 of the Geographical Names Act, the reserve was officially assigned the name Bankbook Park.
