Consultation has concluded

As part of our commitment to managing flood risks in our region, we’re working on a plan for flood mitigation works designed to benefit properties upstream of Holy Spirit College in Bellambi Gully, located in the Collins Creek catchment.

We’ve identified a number of culvert and channel works which would reduce the impact of flooding to a number of properties in the area. We’re inviting residents of Ellen Street, Lismore Street, Pioneer Road and Gladstone Street to come along to an information session to learn more about the proposed channel improvements and culvert upgrade.

Where: Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre, 49A Cawley St, Bellambi NSW 2518

When: Wednesday 21 August 4-6pm

We’ll have maps and a short video to show how the proposed works will help reduce flooding. Council staff and floodplain management engineers who are working on the design will be on hand to explain the proposal and answer your questions.

If you’d like to learn more but are unable to attend the session, you can Read the FAQs, view the concept design, you can also have a look at the Floodplain Risk Management Process diagram to learn more about the Study, how we manage flood risk and what we will use the flood study information for, and then share your feedback online with the project team.

If you need help with access or language please contact Council's Engagement Team by Friday 16 August 2019 so we can discuss how we can support your involvement. If you have any issues understanding or interpreting the concept design please feel free to contact Council's Engagement Team and we will arrange to have one of our project team members get in contact with you.
