Fowlers and Cleveland Roads Upgrade
Consultation has concluded
We're planning for some major road upgrades to Fowlers Road (South) and Cleveland Road in Dapto. The improvements will include road-widening, new shared paths, stormwater works, intersection upgrades, street lighting and planting.
This project forms part of our long-term vision for West Dapto. Improving key access roads will safely meet the demand expected with population growth in the area and grow and develop West Dapto into a series of integrated and connected communities.
We’ll be starting staged construction in early 2025 and expect it will take a few years.
The works will be completed in three stages.
Stage 1: Proposed to start Second Quarter of 2025
Fowlers Road (South) – formerly known as Daisy Bank Drive, will be widened from 2 to 4 travel lanes. Have a look at the Consultation Plans for Stage 1 here and learn more about Stage 1 construction here.
Stages 2 and 3: Pending land acquisition
Cleveland Road - approximately 2.5 km stretch of road North from Fowlers Road intersection will be regraded, widened and additional travel lanes/kerbside parking added. Have a look at the Consultation Plans for Stage 2 and Stage 3 here and learn more about Stage 2 and 3 construction here.
The upgrades to roads will also include kerb and gutter, stormwater works, shared paths and street lighting.
We'll be working closely with the community to manage the impacts of construction during all stages.
