Review of our Community Engagement Policy
Consultation has concluded
Thanks you to all those who provided feedback on our draft policy. We've made the policy easier to read, provided more detail on how community feedback is used in decision making and how we let you know how your comments were used.
The updated policy will be presented at the July Council meeting for review and endorsement by Councillors.
Wondering why it's a bit quite on our Have Your Say page?
Have a question? You can use the Q and A tool and we'll get an answer back to you ASAP.

As this acceptance of electronic submissions seen a community of only 6,000 (Helensburgh) completely ambushed by a small minority group. on Facebook Share All submissions are considered during an engagement or exhibition period. Paul DeBono asked over 6 years agoThanks for your comment Paul. There are no changes to how community members can have their say. Electronic options, including providing feedback via our website (www.haveyoursaywollongong.com.au) or via email, continue to be accepted.
You can also give feedback by:- Filling out a feedback form, available online, at your local branch library, and at Council’s Customer Service Centre (41 Burelli St, Wollongong),
- Writing a letter,
- Calling Council on 4227 7111.

Share There are community meetings for areas e.g. Fairy Meadow. However none of these really reflect the concerns of Balgownie residents or residents in other developing areas. on Facebook Share There are community meetings for areas e.g. Fairy Meadow. Bill Zealey asked over 6 years agoThanks for your comment Bill. Council supports Neighbourhood Forums across the city, and it sounds like you may be referring to Neighbourhood Forum 4? It covers Balgownie, Bellambi, Corrimal, East Corrimal, Fairy Meadow, Fernhill, Mount Ousley, Mount Pleasant, Russell Vale, Tarrawanna and Towradgi. I have put the link here to more information about the forum Neighbourhood Forum 4
