Share your thoughts on the proposed changes to Murray Road, East Corrimal

Murray Road is a key east-west connection road through East Corrimal. Murray Road meets Pioneer Road, the primary north – south connection through East Corrimal, at a roundabout intersection. This roundabout intersection has several recorded crashes over the past few years and the current conditions of this roundabout provide minimal protective measures for pedestrians and cyclists.

We are proposing

  • A 950m Shared Path along Murray Road linking Corrimal station to the existing coastal shared user pathway.
  • Installation of 5 raised crossings that prioritise pedestrians and cyclists:
    1. Northern side of Murray Road for east-west crossing of Duff Parade (Murray Road/Duff Parade intersection)
    2. Northern side of Murray Road for east-west crossing of Pioneer Road (Murray Road/Pioneer Road roundabout)
    3. Northern side of Murray Road for east-west crossing of Carroll Road (Carroll Road/Murray Road intersection)
    4. Mid-block between Carrol Road and Cawley Street for north-south crossing of Murray Road (near shops)
    5. Southern side of Murray Road for east-west crossing of Parker Road (Parker Road/Murray Road intersection)
