Consultation has concluded

The policy 'Land and Easement Acquisition and Disposal' has been developed in order to provide a framework for a transparent process that adheres to the relevant legislation in respect to the acquisition and disposal of land and easements.

Council from time to time acquires and disposes of land assets and has obligations in this regard under various pieces of legislation.

This policy has been in existence since 30 March 2010 and is currently due for review. The policy outlines the reasons that land transactions should occur and discusses the due diligence required to be undertaken as part of the process, including probity and valuation issues.
