Maps laid out on a table

A draft Planning Proposal has been prepared to amend the Foreshore Building Line Map for the former Corrimal Coke Works site. The amendment will ensure the Planning Proposal matches the adopted 2021 Master Plan and the planned realignment of North Corrimal Creek.

Background

On 1 November 2021, Council resolved to finalise the Planning Proposal for the former Corrimal Coke Works site to permit medium density residential development. Then, the Wollongong Local Environment Plan (LEP) 2009 (Amendment 50) was confirmed by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment on 29 April 2022. That Planning Proposal required the amendment of several maps. An amendment of the Foreshore Building Line Map is now required to address a mapping error from the 2021 Planning Proposal.
