Draft Wollongong Section 94A Development Contributions Plan (2017)

Consultation has concluded
The Wollongong Section 94A Development Contributions Plan (the plan) enables Council to levy a monetary contribution on certain developments carried out in the Wollongong Local Government Area, excluding any land that is subject to the West Dapto Section 94 Contributions Plan. The contribution is based on a percentage of the proposed cost of development and is collected towards the provision, extension or augmentation of public amenities and public services. The requirement to pay Section 94A contributions is imposed by a condition of consent on development applications and complying development certificates.
At its meeting of 8 May 2017, Council resolved to exhibit the draft Wollongong Section 94A Development Contributions Plan (2017) (the draft plan) to enable community comment.
The draft Plan includes updates to the works program to reflect the 2017/18 Delivery Program and Capital Budget, updating certain clauses throughout and other minor changes.
The draft plan will be on exhibition from Monday 15 May 2017 to Friday 16 June 2017.
