Local councils who join the partnership make five action pledges in either renewable energy, efficiency, transport or working in partnership to tackle climate change. There are dozens of actions that councils can choose from. Whether it’s putting solar on the local library, switching to electric buses, or opening up old landfills for new solar farms, the possibilities are endless. https://citiespowerpartnership.org.au/

0 comment0comments you wantover 4 years agoBeautify the streets surrounding the hospital. At the moment the city is evolving into a concrete jungle.
The sky line has changed so dramatically and not to its favour. tree line the streets each with its own theme (or complementing themes). They don´t have to be natives. In residential areas small growing trees with a maximum of 3m height to minimise or eliminate root damage to homes. Annuals so that the homes have sun in the winter and shade in the summer. Add solar fairy lights to the trees and enjoy in the evening (like Hyde Park in Sydney). Added benefits are the therapeutic effects of patients looking out the window in the hospital. Ensure trees are secured with cages to prevent vandalism.
0 comment0comments you wantover 4 years agobeautifying the upper side of crown st and removing drug dealers from the corner of Crown and Denison St etc work with Police
At the moment all the focus is on the lower side, why is the upper side of Crown (from the mall) forgotten?!
