Foreshore parking management during summer
We’re looking at different ways to address the high parking demands in really popular foreshore and recreation areas during summer, to make sure everyone can get to and enjoy these great spaces.
There are several specific locations across our Local Government Area (LGA) including Stanwell Park; Austinmer; Wollongong; Bellambi and Port Kembla, where we’re looking to introduce some temporary measures this summer.
We’ve used traffic data, community feedback and best practice guidelines to develop these plans, and also assessed what measures (such as overflow parking; timed parking; signage) can be safely and feasibly implemented in each location.
