Are you interested in the future direction for the historic Hill 60 Reserve at Port Kembla?
We’re currently working towards developing a Landscape Master Plan for the site. As a first step, we’re reviewing and updating the existing Conservation Management Plan for Hill 60, which was adopted by Council in 2000.
Hill 60 Reserve is an important site for both Aboriginal and European cultural heritage, and we want to make sure our management objectives for the site meet the community’s needs.
Council has engaged consultants Niche Environment and Heritage to review the existing Conservation Management Plan and develop a community brief that will inform the Landscape Master Plan. We expect to have a draft of the Landscape Master Plan ready for Council’s consideration around mid 2015.
You’re invited to share your ideas about to the revision and update of the Conservation Management Plan for Hill 60, and future directions for important heritage site. Please leave any comments below until 28 November 2014, and we’ll pass them on to the consultants.
