Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking feedback on two draft policies related to trees in public spaces, the draft Public Tree Management Policy and the draft Tree and Vegetation Vandalism Policy. At its meeting of 20 November 2017, Council resolved that both policies be placed on public exhibition.

Carefully planned and well-managed public trees are valuable assets delivering long-term benefits to our City. Both policies form part of Council's coordinated approach to managing urban vegetation across our Local Government Area, as outlined in Council's adopted Urban Greening Strategy 2017-2037.
