Consultation has concluded
As part of its commitment to managing flood and stormwater risks in our region, Wollongong City Council is working on a proposed concept design for the Ursula Road Flood Mitigation Scheme, located in the Whartons Creek catchment in Bulli.
Using the latest flood-modelling techniques, we have found that the deflection levee and culvert upgrade measures in the scheme have the most potential for keeping more floodwater in the creek system during storms. This would then reduce the amount of overflows onto Franklin Avenue and to the north along Ursula Road.
Feedback must be received by 5pm Wednesday 21 November, 2018.

Existing 10-year blockage
This shows the flood behaviour for current day conditions without any flood mitigation options in place. This is for a 10% A.E.P flood event, which means there's a 10% chance in a given year of that size flood or greater occuring.

WC06A 10-year blockage
This shows what the flood behaviour is estimated to be like with the levee option (WC06A) in place. This is for a 10% A.E.P flood event, which means there's a 10% chance in a given year of that size flood or greater occuring.
