Consultation has concluded

At its meeting on 24 June 2024, Council resolved to exhibit the draft Chapter 16: West Dapto Release Area of the Wollongong Development Control Plan (WDCP) 2009.

Proposed changes:

This exhibition proposes changes to the existing WDCP. The amendments provide clear guidance on the desired outcomes and expectation for West Dapto Centres as required to meet the needs of the growing and future community while also providing investment certainty for landowners. Other proposed changes to Chapter D16 include:

  • Section 14 introduces Fowlers Village Centre and Marshall Mount Town Centre Master Plans into the WDCP, providing clear structure and guidance for the future development of the West Dapto Town and Village Centres.
  • Additional clarity within Section 4, 11 and 15 to support the implementation of the Master Plans.
