Why i love Wollongong

I come from Thailand and I have lived in Wollongong for 18 months. I came to Wollongong with an Australian man, who lived here, and on my first visit I knew I would live here. There is a famous university here and it's a peaceful city with good weather and a beautiful landscape. The beaches are incredible. The first time I came here I was scared to live here, but Im not afraid anymore because of the friendliness of the people here. I feel the care and assistance of the people, the country and the government. In my country there is not as much support. I feel warm and happy as this is my home, just like Thailand. Wollongong is my second home.

Only 18 months? Obviously you have not been to other better places in NSW. I have lived in Wollongong for many years. Yes I thought was nice in the beginning. Later I found that Wollongong is so far behind of Newcastle.

People are friendly in Newcastle and has a better University. People are talk to each other and greets each other. 

Tourism in Wollongong is dead. Look at Illawarra lake there is not much activities compare to Lake Macquarie. 

Weather is warmer in Newcastle and people out and about to do their activities.

I found that Wollongong is racist place compare to Newcastle. High criminals. 

So I would suggest you to visit Newcastle and you’ll never look back!
