Consultation has concluded

We recently asked the community for feedback on the trial bike track at Harry Graham Park, Figtree. We held three on site information sessions and captured feedback on maps. We asked for comments through an online survey, via emails, letters and feedback forms.

There was a lot of interest in this project and we received a lot of feedback. The community is passionate about this project and we have lots of information to review.

We are currently reviewing all of the feedback and will use this and other information to consider a permanent location for the bike track.

    We recently completed our community engagement on the location of the trial bike track at Harry Graham Park, Figtree. We received a lot of interest from the community about this project.

    We have read and considered all of the comments and used this information to help make a decision for a permanent location.

    The decision has been made to keep the track at Harry Graham Park in its current location with a fence installed along the length of the track. Construction of the fence will start on Monday 16 August. We expect works to take one week to complete. The track will be closed during this time.

    At the end of 2020 we worked with local children, young people and families to design and build a trial bike track at Harry Graham Park. This trial track has been very popular so far, with lots of people using it. To help plan what happens next, we asked the community for feedback on how it’s been going and to help find the most appropriate location for a permanent track in Figtree.

    We asked for feedback on the current location at Harry Graham Park and an alternative site at Langson Avenue Reserve.

    We held information sessions at the current site during May 2021 where staff attended to talk about the project and get feedback from local people. We had maps at these information sessions and invited people to tell us what they thought. We also invited comments via an online survey and mapping tool.

    We asked the community to send us their feedback by Monday 14 June 2021.

    We are currently reviewing feedback and other information to consider a permanent location for the bike track.
