Traffic is now running smoothly over the newly sealed temporary road at the culverts. This arrangement will allow for future staged road construction and drainage works on the southern side of Wongawilli Road.
Shone Avenue to Smiths Lane
Kerb and gutter construction is progressing between Smiths Lane and Shone Avenue, beginning with excavations. Once kerb and gutter has been installed, driveways will be constructed. We expect this work to take about 6-8 weeks, with good weather. There may be short periods when parking and access will be affected. We'll work with residents to manage temporary arrangements during construction.
Culverts and trunk drainage connections
Cadifern are working on final drainage connections at the Smiths Lane intersection. They will then continue with the culvert installation and final trunk drainage connections over the next 4-6 weeks.

Driveway, stormwater and kerb and gutter works: This week Council crews will vacate the culverts site and focus on the construction of kerb and gutter, driveways and stormwater pits between Shone Avenue and Smiths Lane.
Jersey Farm Road
Jersey Farm Road opened to traffic following last week's asphalt works undertaken by Boral.

Council staff have been constructing the new temporary access road near the culverts at Shone Avenue. This new road layout will enable Cadifern to complete the final installation and connections of drainage culverts and main trunk drainage stormwater pipes.
We're still on track to have Boral onsite this Friday 25 June to undertake asphalt works and to switch vehicle travel lanes to the new alignment. There will be minor traffic delays while this work takes place.
Works will start to ramp up from next Monday 28, once the new road alignment is running, with both Cadifern and Council crews progressing into the next stage of construction.
Jersey Farm Road to Smiths Lane
We anticipate the final asphalt works on Jersey Farm Road will be completed late this week, at the same time as the temporary road asphalt works are being undertaken near Shone Avenue.

Once this is complete we'll switch traffic over. We'll update you next week regarding the timing. Traffic control will be in place during the change-over process.
Trunk drainage: Works are progressing well and will be linked into the previous stage of drainage by the end of the week. Once the temporary road realignment has been completed Cadifern will start works to link drainage into the culverts near Shone Avenue. It's expected that this work will start on 28 June, weather permitting.

West Dapto Road Upgrade - Shone Avenue to Rainbird Drive

Construction is planned to start later this year and take several years to complete. We’re now sharing the plan and explaining how we’ll manage potential works impacts to keep the community informed and to invite feedback. This work will progress over the next couple of weeks. We'll let you know when the road will be switching over to the new layout.

The contractor will continue to monitor this area and have traffic control in place with residential access only. A traffic controller will be on site until 8pm tonight to facilitate access. Please take care when accessing your property. The contractors will be back on site tomorrow morning to continue works.
